Security

Your privacy and security are very important to us.

Data Privacy

All your user submitted text remains private in your browser and is not stored on our servers.

Your user submitted text is sent to our SRF server over a secure connection for processing.

Once the search results are calculated by our server and returned to your browser, no record or logs of your user text, no Keywords we extracted, or any analysis from that text is kept on our secure server.

All your Saved Data in each of your Projects is stored in your browser storage on that particular computer.

Server Infrastructure

ALL OUR WEB SERVICES ARE HOSTED ON OUR SECURE SERVER using a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) hosting service.

Inside our VPC, all access to our website and database processing code, files, and data is FURTHER protected by our own Virtual Private Network – VPN.

Local Data Storage

All your Project Data storage is saved in your computer's secure Browser Data Storage

For each Project, your latest Input data, Extracted Keywords, and any result documents from searching with your Keywords using our SRF interface are all automatically stored in the secure 'sandbox memory' of your browser on your local computer.

The Project Data and Search Results you saved are retrieved from your browser memory the next time you visit SRF and Open that Project.

Because each user's project is stored in the browser on the computing device where the user entered their input text and searched for results, those results are available only on that device using that browser. If you want to access your results across multiple browsers on different computers, you need to save your Project to a storage device or cloud location, and then reload it into the browser on the other computer.

Storage Note

Your local computer memory and disc storage capacity will limit the number of Active Projects you may have at one time.

Use the Save Project service to remove your Project's data from your Active memory and free up browser memory to create new Projects.

OpenAI API Security and Privacy

Any functionality marked "AI" in our screens, including AI Summarization requests (and AI Compare requests if you allow them), are securely processed via our secure APIs with OpenAI.

While OpenAI may temporarily retain data for abuse detection and monitoring, they do retain that data unless an abuse was detected. OpenAI never uses this data to train their models.

OpenAI's privacy practices are designed to minimize long-term retention and ensure user data is not reused beyond its intended purpose.

Custom API Option

For users who prefer an added layer of control, we offer the option to use your organizational OpenAI API key and all your information and data will be submitted to your OpenAI API account.

If you would like more information about this option, please contact our Customer Service at service@searchrealfast.com.

Your privacy and security are very important to us

All your Search Real Fast Project Data storage is saved in your computer's secure Browser Data Storage, NOT on our webserver!

All your user submitted text remains private in your browser and is not stored on our servers. Your submitted text is sent to our SRF server over a secure connection for processing. Once the search results are calculated by our server and returned to your browser, no record or logs of your user input text, no Keywords we extracted, or any analysis from that text is kept on our secure server.

All your Saved Data in each of your Projects is encrypted and stored in your browser's secure data storage. Your browser protects your data in its secure “sandbox” that is not accessible to other tasks running on your computer.

For each Project, your latest Input data, Extracted Keywords, and any result documents from searching with your Keywords using our SRF interface are all automatically stored in the secure “sandbox memory” of your browser on your local computer. The Project Data and Search Results you saved are retrieved from your browser memory the next time you visit SRF and Open that Project. Your web browser's “sandbox” protects its data from other processes running on your personal computer with the following features:

1. Process Isolation

Modern browsers run web pages and extensions in separate processes, each within its own sandbox. This means that even if malicious code runs in one tab, it cannot access data or memory from other tabs or the main browser process.

2. Restricted Permissions

The sandbox limits what browser processes can do. For example, they cannot directly access your file system, system memory, or other applications. They can only interact with the operating system in very controlled ways, usually through the browser itself.

3. Preventing Data Leakage

Data such as cookies, saved passwords, and project data (like in your SRF application) are stored in areas that are only accessible to the browser. Other programs running on your computer cannot read or modify this data unless you explicitly allow it (such as through a download or export).

4. Browser Storage Security

Browsers use secure storage mechanisms (like IndexedDB, Local Storage, or encrypted browser memory) that are sandboxed per website or application. This means one website cannot access data of another, and external programs cannot access browser data unless you give permission.

5. Operating System Support

Many operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) provide additional sandboxing features for browsers, such as running browser processes with lower privileges, further reducing the risk that browser data can be accessed by other software.

Summary

The sandbox acts like a protective bubble around your browser, ensuring that your browsing data, saved projects, and sensitive information are kept private and secure from other programs and processes on your computer.

USER NOTE:

Your local computer memory, browser storage disc backup, and disc storage capacity will limit the number of your Browser's Active Projects that you may have open at one time. Use the Save Project service to remove your Project's data from your Active memory and free up browser memory to create new Projects. Then use the Restore Project service to reactivate a Project for further work.
